Independent Rhythm Project is currently halted because my lack of skill (and will). From its architecture, I create a side story taken from Independent Rhythm global story.

Gameplay will using a system like .Hack game, engaging enemy on map and fight it directly.  *Actually I want to say it like Assassin Creed battle system but it too difficult to create AI for engaging position, for now*

The story tells about a broken robot that trashed to island where Independent Rhythm main story, first chapter, taken. A island where no modern technology can operate.

Even though no modern technology can operate, somehow this robot can operated itself. And while the story rolls, the robot gradually have its own consciousness.

Taking view of this robot, player will uncover why this robot can operate while another type of technology can’t.

Partying with another youkai that inhabits the island, the robot get its name, Kan! a can that have its own life.

Well, long time not updating the blog *I’m getting stuck in final project berserk mode* an offer came.

I requested to create a story about a “tsun(つん)” without “dere(でれ)” dark magician that had a chance to…. (because will be a spoiler, story cutted by writer here :p)

Then it started, I accept it without thinking once. The mess begin, bla bla bla, global concept accepted easily. And now I detailing the story chapter per chapter.

Meanwhile, because Fandrey (Arcane Elyssia’s conceptor) picture not acceptable because of repetitive model busy with his school and some projects, he appoint me to create the character visualization too.

Hari keberangkatan, seperti biasa adikku selalu panik kalau akan pergi keluar. Ini itu tertinggal, lupa melakukan ini itu. Untung saja dia ngga ngomong lupa mbakar rumah…. Dan juga kita melakukan perjalanan menggunakan pesawat pribadi Eyn, jadi ngga perlu kawatir terlambat, paling-paling dimarahi pihak bandara karena ngacoin jadwal flight……

Yap, semua persiapan selesai, adikku meyakinkan diri ngga ada yang ketinggalan. Eyn menunggu di ruang tamu dengan wajah tenang, seperti sudah mengetahui semuanya. Yah, orang yang memiliki hubungan dengan Arsnad *sepertinya* memang memiliki kelebihan tertentu… Eh, tapi mungkin saja Eyn tu Arsnad sendiri.  Ah, ngapain mikirin itu, bisa keluar dengan Eyn saja udah cukup…

Petaka! Aku tidak menyadari bahwa Eyn ataupun Arsnad tidak menyediakan kendaraan ke bandara. Berarti aku yang mengemudi, er~ mobil… Masak mau ditaruh di bandara… Berapa lama aku ada disana saja ngga ngerti. Carter, siapa yang ngembaliin… Taxi? Hmm, kalo orang sekota ngga kenal Eyn sih gapapa……

Terlalu lama berada di dalam pikiranku, aku ngga sadar kalo Eyn dan adikku sudah ada di gerbang depan. Seperti yang diduga, orang-orang yang berjalan di depan rumah langsung mengerubuninya seperti semut dan gula. Untung saja rumahku ini berada di tempat yang jauh dari keramaian, sehingga yang mengerubunginya cuma orang-orang sekitar rumah saja. Walau begitu, mereka cukup baik hati untuk menjaga rahasia bahwa Eyn menghabiskan bulan pertama cutinya di sini *berkat permintaan Eyn*.  Selain itu, ada yang berbaik hati juga memberikan tumpangan ke bandara. Aku tidak tahu apa yang Eyn katakan tentang aku dan adikku, yang jelas, tetangga-tetanggaku yang selalu baik pada keluargaku itu langsung mempercayainya.

Setibanya di bandara, setelah berbasa-basi tentang pencarian orangtuaku, tetangga yang mengantar kami ke bandara langsung pergi, kemana? Mungkin kerja, toh juga hari ini hari kerja kok. Second wave of mass coming. Orang-orang di bandara langsung mengerubungi kami seturunnya dari mobil yang mirip mobil pengawal presiden tadi. Berlagak seperti bodyguard, aku membawa Eyn menjauh dari kerumunan, langsung ke pesawat pribadi Eyn. Ah, adikku tertinggal… Aku menyuruh Eyn menunggu di pesawat supaya tidak mengganggu pencarian adikku dengan kerumunan penggemarnya.

Mengira kerumunan tadi sudah bubar, aku terkejut masih ada beberapa orang yang berada disana… ヘンタイかあいつら… Ternyata bukan, mereka terlihat seperti pencari bakat dan wartawan yang melihat kecantikan adikku serta kejadian tadi.

“Abang!!” adikku berteriak dengan wajah yang terlihat tidak senang dengan kerumunan itu diiringi pandangan tajam beberapa orang yang masih mengitari adikku.

Berlari kecil ke arahku, aku mengatakan “kok kamu bawa juga boneka itu”, sambil melihat boneka yang diseretnya.

“Ngga ngerti, tiba-tiba aja ada di tumpukan barang, ya~ aku bawa aja deh”, jawabnya.

Mengacuhkan serangan pertanyaan pencari bakat dan wartawan, aku menyeret adikku berikut barang bawaan yang tersisa ditambah bonekanya ke taxi tempat pesawat Eyn parkir.

Aku membawa adikku menjauh dari ruangan itu sambil menanyakan apa yang dia tangkap dan apa maksud tertawanya tadi.

“Bukan apa-apa, seneng aja liat hobby abangku tersayang” adalah jawaban yang kudapat darinya. Wajah ingin menyelidiki sesuatu sambil menggodaku terlihat, tapi setelah itu, “hahaha, ngga ‘papa koq, aku tau ini ada hubungannya dengan kerjaan abang, aku ngga ikutan kalo ada masalah apa2,… Tapi koq kayaknya aku kenal ya sama orang tadi, ya udah lah, masa bodo…”  dia ngomong gitu sambil ngeloyor pergi, nyeret boneka yang entah sedjak kapan dia seret….

Balik ke masalah, setelah memastikan pintu tertutup, aku mendengar penjelasan Eyn.

“? penjelasan? apa yang perlu dijelasin….” Eyn merespon pertanyaanku.

“Lalu…”

“Next Order, tidak perlu penjelasan, bukannya biasanya kamu ngga nanya penjelasan?” entah bagaimana dia sudah berdiri dan mengeluarkan suara mautnya tepat di sebelah telinga kananku.

Kaget sambil menahan gejolak di kepala karena suaranya yang seharusnya aku sudah biasa karena terbiasa, tapi tidak bisa karena aku selalu melarangnya bicara tiap kali mengantar makanan, aku mengatakan satu kata

“Arsnad?”

Eyn tersenyum dan kembali ke tempat duduknya.

“Ngga penting, sekarang coba ceritakan apa yang terjadi di luar sana”

Aku menceritakan tentang kepenasaranku mengapa tak ada berita tentang hilangnya Eyn.

Ditanggapinya dengan dingin, “sudah dibicarakan dengan agensiku”.

‘ho, gitu to’ pikirku. Lalu aku menceritakan kejadian global baru-baru ini yang menarik perhatianku, tepatnya beberapa minggu sebelum order penculikan dari Arsnad datang,  di Litfansa Imperium rajanya tiba-tiba menyerahkan pimpinan ke penasihat kerajaan dan memutuskan untuk melakukan perjalanan tanpa diiringi pengawal.

Raja tersebut tidak memiliki keturunan, dan memang agak dipertanyakan statusnya sebagai raja karena ada jeda 20 tahun dari kematian raja sebelumnya saat dia diangkat Imperium sebagai raja. Selama masa 20 tahun itu, imperium mencicipi keadaan tanpa raja karena tidak ada keturunan langsung dari raja sebelumnya.

Peraturan di Imperium adalah siapa yang menjadi raja harus memiliki suatu tanda, dan tanda tersebut hanya muncul di satu garis keturunan saja. Oleh karena itu, kemunculan raja baru setelah 20 tahun dari kematian raja yang tak/belum memiliki keturunan merupakan hal yang menjadi masalah, karena dengan begitu, siapa saja yang memiliki tanda itu bisa menjadi raja Imperium itu.

Jika Imperium ini merupakan kerajaan biasa, seharusnya tak ada masalah. Namun, ada satu teknologi di Imperium yang tak mungkin dicapai kerajaan atau negara lain di planet ini, alat untuk mengontrol planet ini.

Dari cerita rakyat yang entah kenapa selalu sama di daerah manapun di planet ini (aku sering keliling, gara2 Arsnad, jadi biar ga bete ngurusin kerjaan terus, aku ngumpulin cerita rakyat), planet ini terlempar dari posisi asalnya melintasi suatu gerbang dimensi dan akhirnya terdampar di sistem bintang ini. Agar tidak menjadi planet mati, posisi harus disesuaikan dari bintang. Untuk itu, seluruh manusia yang tersisa membuat suatu alat untuk memindahkan planet yang mengerahkan semua sumber daya saat itu. Planet berhasil diselamatkan, namun sumberdaya yang dimiliki manusia habis, dan kehancuran peradaban terjadi.

Karena sumberdaya telah habis, manusia yang menyadari berbahayanya alat tersebut menyegel kekuatan mengontrolnya pada satu orang yang paling dipercaya. Entah bagaimana menyegelnya, yang jelas hanya bisa diturunkan ke keturunan langsung dari orang itu. Selama waktu berjalan, hanya bisa satu orang dan anak sulungnya yang memiliki tanda itu. Selama waktu itu pula, berangsur-angsur keluarga itu menjadi generasi raja di daerah tempat kontrol alat tersebut dan setelah lama, keadaan alat pemindah planet itu sendiri tidak tercatut dalam sejarah kerajaan.

Aku menceritakan dengan semangat, Eyn mendengar dengan khusyuk. Setelah selesai, dia memulai bagian bicaranya yang membuatku bersiap-siap mati dalam kesenangan (!^-^)

“Ya, seperti yang kamu katakan, sang raja dikabarkan menghilang. Aku dikabari kalau sebenarnya dia kembali ke 200 tahun yang lalu, kembali ke keluarganya yang ditinggal setelah mengetahui kabar dari masa depan bahwa garis keturunan menghilang. Imperium pada saat dia meninggalkannya, sudah diserahkan ke anak sulungnya, jadi tak ada beban mengurus selama mengontrol Imperium saat ini. Mengapa raja 200 tahun yang lalu? Like I care, yang jelas mengapa dia kembali adalah hal terpenting. Sekarang coba kamu selidiki mengapa dia kembali.”

Eyn melanjutkan, “untuk kali ini, aku akan menemanimu supaya bisa mendapatkan akses lebih mudah, ada gunanya aku ini artis..” (ha, dia tadi bercanda?) “setelah ini aku akan menghubungi agensiku dan mengabari aku memilihmu sebagai driverku. Hal-hal yang mengenai pemindahan posisi dan lain-lain akan diselenggarakan dalam tempo sesingkat-singkatnya.” (aku sepertinya pernah mendapat verse ini di satu dokumen dari kerjaku dulu)

Aku menyela “e…”

Segera dipotong Eyn dengan suara yang agak keras, “orang yang sedang menempelkan telinga di pintu itu? Biarkan dia ikut, aku jadikan mainan”

Pintu terbuka, adikku jatuh karena bersandar di pintu itu.

“bukan, aku mau nanya mulai kapan?”

Eyn terdiam sebentar sambil mengamati wajahku (ugh, tatapannya…….)

“secepatnya, karena ini masalah penting….”

Oke, deal, aku mengurus passport dan cuti di Universitas.

Actually this project started about 4 month ago. It proposed as my final project as undergraduate student in “Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember” Surabaya. But for some reason, I just recently work on it (!-.-)

“Beacon” is a codename for a game. The story held on a island floating in a massive gas planet. I (maybe) will tell about the world later. The island itself had some unique property that other islands doesn’t have, so one of the country in the world sent our hero as assistant of a scientist to find out what make the island difference.

Our hero is a 20 years old man that graduated from elite magic school in a country that shut themself from global politics. After graduation, some event made he think again about his ability in magic. Later, he make decision to minimize his magic use and cover it with his melee fight ability.

When the story start, he work as mercenary and choose jobs that equal with his “justice” only.

Our second character (the scientist) is a 18 year old girl. Since age 5, she live in research facility for lookup anomaly in world, due of her parents job. We can tell she as genius, because at age 9 she finish her formal study with excellent point. Her another ability is telekinetic, ability to move things with her mind.

Second character’s background is unknown at beginning of the game and I not reveal it until the game finished. Her ability is telekinetic, same as description above.

When the story start, she work in research facility where she grow up.

In the world, it have two kind of high intelligent being. First, all we know it as ::human::. Second, there is an entity that doesn’t had physical body. They just had spiritual body, we as human call it ::spirit, ghost or something related::. Human don’t know that even spirit have their own advantage, the spirit world isn’t as interesting as physical world. Facing world that they can’t reach, spirits try many way to get physical body.
Some of them ::contact:: some human to make them physical interface, and they use it, some other posses dying people and use the body after they die, another start to posses human before they born.
But, when they get a biological body, all their memory from the spirit world ::saved:: and can’t be accessed for some time (from 5 year to unknown..). Meanwhile, after some spirit possessing humans, spirits that stay in spirit’s dimension don’t know what happen after that..

It had done for a long time. Recent days, possessing spirits that had regain their memory back know that if they continued the ::possessing party::, the world can’t handle more. In fact, world had some duty to handle biological body that stay in it. While dead peoples body used by spirits, world’s [indonesian: beban] is heavier and maybe someday it can’t handle again and start to collapsed.

Due to lack of time and skill, ewaruWordPress had long time break.
In that break time, the creator think that if ewaruWordPress change the language it would be more difficult (and challanging) to do. For that case, start with this post, ewaruWordPress will posted using several language that the creator thing proper on the story or the mood.

Stories that had been created or will be created in Indonesian language will be translated to English or another language while another stories created.

FYI, creator use Indonesian as primary language, English as xxx-th language, Javanese as secondary language, and Japanese as (want to be) second language.

While writing, as usual, the creator don’t think much about how it readed, just how it can be stated as written story. So, if you feel uneasy with my language, comment for stories or anything are welcome.

Apa yang aku khawatirkan jadi kenyataan. Sudah 3 minggu tidak ada kabar dari Arsnad. Selama itu pula aku mengurung Eyn di salah satu kamar yang kosong di rumahku. Setiap waktu makan, aku menyediakannya. Adikku tidak perlu tahu tentang ini, dia jangan sampai masuk ke duniaku.

Tapi, setiap aku memandang wajah Eyn, sesuatu berdebar dalam hatiku, mengingat waktu penculikannya yang (ehm…) mengingat dia seorang idola dan sekarang berada di hadapanku, memakan makanan yang aku masakkan. Kalau teman2ku tahu, aku pasti dibunuh mereka karena iri.

Aneh juga, masa artis seperti dia memiliki sesuatu sampai2 harus diculik? Atau Arsnad lagi kekurangan duit? ah, ngga juga sih, buktinya ngga ada pengumuman permintaan dana tebusan. Dari pihak manajemen Eyn, tidak ada kabar ke media, sepertinya memanfaatkan pernyataan liburnya untuk pencarian. Tapi di forum-forum (ehm….) stalker, ada kasak kusuk mengenai hilangnya Eyn (info ini aku dapat dari temanku!). Ya sudahlah, mengurangi beban :p

Hari ke-23 penculikan

Aku mengetuk pintu, memastikan Eyn duduk di kursi yang akan secara otomatis mengikat tangannya disana selama aku di dalam. Ini untuk mencegah dia kabur dan menimbulkan keributan di lingkungan sekitar. Anehnya, waktu Eyn aku suruh begitu, dia menurut saja tanpa ada keinginan melawan.

Mendengar suara di dalam sebagai tanda boleh masuk, aku memastikan penutup kepalaku rapat dan tak terlihat siapa aku.

Seperti biasa, wajahnya terlihat tenang, tidak ada ketakutan, seperti dia sudah siap untuk diculik. Aku melangkah masuk sambil membawa nampan berisi makanan. Saat mendekatinya, aku melihat papan yang aku siapkan untuk menulis pesan (aku ngga kuat kalo ndenger suaranya…) Disana tergambar simbol yang aku kenal.

Eh? Aku menoleh ke arah Eyn.

Dia membuka mulut untuk berbicara, aku menyiapkan hatiku agar tidak pingsan mendengar suaranya yang indah.

“Next order”, Eyn mulai berbicara.

Masih kaget, ada suara orang di pintu, pintu terbuka.

Nampak adikku di pintu yang terbuka sedikit itu.

“Kakak,” “ternyata…….. Ufufufufu….”

Ugh, tawanya seperti ada sesuatu yang aneh dipikirkannya.

Ows, sebelum dia melihat Eyn, aku geser keluar dulu adikku…
